Chart Basics

  1. Download Links for Basic Chart Templates
    • Black Background Version (Download Link)
    • Light Blue Background Version (Download Link)
    • How to install a Chart Template in NinjaTrader 8:
      • Click on the link above and download the desired chart selection (either Blue or Black version or both).
      • Go to the downloads folder on your computer and select the downloaded file(s).
      • Copy the file(s) into the following location on your computer:
        • Documents > NinjaTrader8 > Templates > Chart
  2. Download Links for Ninja ATM Stop / Target Templates
    • G7 / S5
    • G4 / S3
    • G3 / S2.25
    • GX / S5 (Open ended target with a 5 point stop)

      • Click on the link above and download the desired ATM Template selection (either one or all).
      • Go to the downloads folder on your computer and select the downloaded file(s).
      • Copy the file(s) into the following location on your computer:
        • Documents > NinjaTrader8 > Templates > AtmStrategy
  3. To Make a New Workspace in NinjaTrader8
    • To make a new workspace, go to your Control Panel (the separate ribbon with your account info that’s visible when your charts are open).
    • Click on the “Workspaces” tab at the top of the Control Panel. Then click on “new” at the lower left corner of the menu.
    • Name the workspace and don’t forget to click “save“.
  4. To Make a New Chart in NinjaTrader8
    • Go to either your existing workspace or a new one (see # 1 above).
    • Click on the “New” tab at the top of the Control Panel. Then click on “Chart” in the drop-down menu.
    • Once the “Data Series” menu is open, select or input your desired instrument in the “Instrument” box at the top left of the menu.
    • Next, go to the “Template” box at the upper right and select the template that you want to use.
    • Click “OK” at the bottom of the menu.
    • When you are finished, GO BACK AND SAVE YOUR CURRENT WORKSPACE SO THAT IT IS THERE NEXT TIME.
